Certificate in Health & Safety

This programme is designed for all employees, students, managers, supervisors, safety representatives and self-employed who will be responsible for Health & Safety in the workplace. This course will give a foundation in which to build knowledge of the Health and Safety issues in today’s business world.

COURSE CONTENT Learners who successfully complete this module will • Understand the concepts of health and safety • Recognise the factors that influence health, safety and welfare • Apply the principles and procedures of health and safety to the workplace • Understand the importance of hazard identification and risk assessment • Promote safe working practices and procedures • Be familiar with core legislation in the area of safety, health and welfare


DURATION: 14 Weeks FEE: €450 (EXCLUDING EXAM FEES) TIMES: Wednesday 7.00p.m.-9.00p.m. ENROLMENT DATE: 17th, 18th, 19th September 2007, 9.00a.m. - 8.00p.m. COMMENCEMENT DATE: Wednesday 3rd October 2007
