Objective
The programme extends the knowledge obtained at diploma level and concentrates on providing students with the additional knowledge, skills and techniques required for the efficient management of hotel & catering operations.
The Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management may be offered (subject to examination grades obtained) as an entrance qualification for a wide range of Hospitality Management degree level studies and may also be offered for entry on to other hotel management programmes.
Course Applicants
The course is suitable for those with either limited or no prior knowledge or experience of the industry. The college places students on work placement with reputable hotels within the Limerick region throughout the academic year. Students are graded prior to sending out on work placement. The hotels may also interview students before accepting students on placement and will have a report of progress completed on each student.
The Diploma in Hospitality Management needs to be completed before progressing to this programme.
