This hospitality management programme provides the essential knowledge required by those who will eventually seek managerial positions within the industry.

Course Structure:

 A Student can begin to study the Diploma in Hospitality Management (Year 2) it is not a requirement to do the Certificate First.

Certificate in Hotel & Catering Supervision - Part 1

(Level 5 on the Framework of Qualifications)

1. Fundamentals of the Hotel & Catering Industry
2. Housekeeping & Accommodation Studies
3. Restaurant Services
4. Front Office Operations & Administration
5. Food & Beverage Management

(The ICM Certificate in Hospitality Management is awarded on completion of all Part 1 subjects) 

Diploma in Hospitality Management - Part 2

(Level 6 on the Framework of Qualifications)

1. Hotel & Catering Law
2. Accounting, Purchasing & Cost Control
3. The Human Resource in Hospitality
4. Hospitality Mangement
5. Marketing for Hospitality & Tourism

(The ICM Diploma in Hospitality Management  is awarded on completion of all Part 1 & 2 subjects) 

Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management Part 3

(Level 7 on the  Framework of Qualifications)

1. Strategic Management in Hospitality
2. Customer Service
3. Economics & Hospitality
4. Organisational Behaviour & Hospitality Management
5. Environmental Management in the Hospitality Industry

(The ICM Diploma in Hospitality Management is awarded on completion of all Part 1, 2 & 3 subjects)

The college places students on work placement with reputable hotels within the Limerick region throughout the academic year.  Students are graded prior to sending out on work placement. The hotels may also interview students before accepting students on placement and will have a report of progress completed on each student.
